Hi, I’m Kara.

A UX Designer refocusing the lens on what really matters - human connection.

My Story

I’m a UX designer with a passion for human connection and creating meaningful experiences. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University and graduated from Kent State University with a Master of Science in User Experience Design in May 2025. Currently, I’m part of the team that manages the marketing, website redesign, and customer experience at Campbell's Market Basket, a family-owned business in East Lansing, Michigan.

I’m interested in opportunities where I can combine my user experience design education with my marketing experience, both informed by my psychology background. My mission to improve user and customer experiences was initially inspired by my involvement in the hockey community. Through that experience, I gained insight into the barriers underrepresented groups face in accessing the sport, as well as opportunities to enhance the fan experience. While sports marketing and design initially sparked my interest, my passion for design has grown to include opportunities in various other fields. I’m always eager to apply my skills to something new!

Everyday people inspire all my projects, motivating me to create not only efficient experiences but also designs that connect with humanity on a deeper level. I’m eager to collaborate with others who share a vision for meaningful, user-centered design.
